Abigail Adams & 18th-Century Clothing

Join us as we welcome Sarah Walsh back to Buttonwoods on Wednesday, April 1st at 6:30pm to give a talk about Abigail Adams and 18th-century clothing. We will serve punch made from a period recipe and very light snacks.
Tickets will be $30* and all proceeds will go towards funding the “Stitching History Together” exhibit and dressmaking demonstration. The original gown will come out of storage for this event, but it will not be mounted due to its fragile state. This is a great opportunity to check out a special, rarely displayed, artifact!
Pre-Registration is available but not required

We Are Now at War: The Revolution Comes to Haverhill

Join us at the Buttonwoods Museum on Wednesday, April 15th at 7PM for a talk on Haverhill in the Battles of Lexington and Concord! This talk explores how Haverhill’s citizens responded to the first shots of the American Revolutionary War – who they were, how they mobilized, and the journey they made toward the fighting in Lexington and Concord. No pre-registration or entry fee required but a $5 donation is recommended

Looking for something to do this April Break? Join us at the Buttonwoods Museum on Thursday, April 23rd from 11–1 for our Revolutionary War Kids program!
Kids and families will get a chance to see what daily life was like in Haverhill during the Revolutionary War and experience a hearth cooking demonstration in our historic John Ward House. Try some Revolutionary-era snacks and take part in hands-on chores and games from the 1700s!
This program is open to kids and families of all ages. No pre-registration required
