Frederick Alanson Luce was an early avocational archaeologist active in the early 20th century who conducted digs throughout the Greater Haverhill and Merrimack Valley region. His collection includes arrow points, stone tools, bone implements, and other archaeological artifacts that help tell the story of life in the area long before European settlement.
