Join us as we welcome Sarah Walsh back to Buttonwoods on Wednesday, April 1st at 6:30pm to give a talk about Abigail Adams and 18th-century clothing. We will serve punch made from a period recipe and very light snacks.

Accused of Sundry Acts of Witchcraft: The Haverhill Accused

Museum educator and Salem witch trial expert Carol Majahad presented her research on Haverhill’s largely unknown role in the 1692 witchcraft trials — focusing on six women from Haverhill who were unjustly accused and coerced into confessing. Their names have been mostly lost to history, absent from both the Merrick and Chase histories of the period.
